Ben brings curiosity, warmth, and compassion to his clinical practice, fostering strong therapeutic relationships. He employs trauma-informed principles—safety, trust, choice, collaboration, and empowerment—to create a supportive environment where clients feel secure and valued.
Using evidence-based therapies like CBT, TF-CBT, MI, ACT, and DBT, Ben tailors treatment to individual needs, focusing on reducing distress through a person-centred approach. His clinical interests include PTSD, developmental trauma, substance use, and behavioural addictions. Ben is also available for couples therapy.
Ben’s diverse personal and professional experiences enrich his understanding of human complexities. He emphasises sociocultural considerations in therapy and advocates for reducing mental health stigma, supporting those hesitant to seek help. Active in his community through voluntary roles, Ben values connection and service. Outside work, he enjoys DIY projects, music, outdoor activities, and time with his pets.
