Jane is a warm and grounded Psychologist, who applies her life experience to foster understanding, respect, and a little humour towards a positive therapeutic space. She creates a supportive space, where clients can comfortably explore their feelings and experiences at their own pace.
Jane specialises in Somatic (body) Mindfulness Therapy, an approach that integrates awareness of bodily sensations with mindfulness practices to support healing and replace unhelpful patterns, beliefs, and behaviours with healthier ways of relating. Using complementary therapeutic strategies and tools, she tailors each session to the unique needs of individuals, couples, or adolescents, helping clients recognise how emotions and experiences are held in the body, fostering understanding, releasing tension, and replacing distress with nourishment.
Guided by the principles of compassion, mindfulness, mind-body holism, and organicity — the natural, intuitive movement toward wellness unique to each individual — Jane works collaboratively with clients to gently explore life’s traumas. Through curiosity and safety, this process transforms isolation into understanding and uncovers the innate wisdom of the heart and mind, bringing greater meaning, openness, and connection.
Drawing on a diverse range of life experiences, including a background in environmental science and conservation, Jane brings a strong appreciation for interconnectedness to her practice, combining practical and existential perspectives. Her experience as a disability support worker has further strengthened her commitment to person-centred care, ensuring each client’s dignity, values, and choices remain central. Over twenty years of Buddhist meditation practice also underpins Jane’s mindfulness and compassion-focused approach.
