Suzy is a compassionate and client-centred psychologist who has completed a Master of Psychology (Clinical) program. She brings a warm, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approach to therapy, grounded in evidence-based practice and genuine care.
Suzy has a strong background in trauma and community-based work, with experience in child protection and in supporting women impacted by domestic and family violence. She currently works as a senior domestic violence caseworker, providing crisis support to individuals navigating high-risk and complex situations.
Alongside this, Suzy also works in a private hospital setting, where she facilitates group therapy programs focused on mood and anxiety disorders, substance use and addiction recovery, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)-informed skills, and veteran mental health. These dual roles have strengthened her ability to support clients from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of psychological needs. Suzy enjoys working across the lifespan and has a strong interest in supporting neurodiverse clients, including individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). She also offers cognitive, personality, and neurodevelopmental assessments as part of her practice.
Suzy values building genuine therapeutic relationships and takes care to understand each client as an individual, working collaboratively to tailor support to their unique goals, strengths, and challenges. She welcomes clients presenting with a broad range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, emotional regulation difficulties, substance use, self-esteem, grief and loss, relationship challenges, and life transitions.
Her therapeutic approach draws on a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed Practice, DBT-informed strategies, and Mindfulness-based interventions. She aims to create a safe, collaborative, and non-judgmental space in which clients can better understand themselves, develop coping tools, and move toward meaningful change.
