Megan is a Provisional Psychologist in the final semester of her Master of Clinical Psychology at Griffith University, with a passion for working collaboratively with individuals and families to create meaningful, lasting change. Her clinical experience spans diverse settings, including the Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) service, where she supported clients navigating addiction alongside complex mental health challenges. There, she facilitated group-based relapse prevention programs and provided individual therapy that blended evidence-based techniques with compassionate, practical support.

For the past three years, Megan has also been an active team member in the Family Interaction Program (FIP), working with caregivers and children to strengthen relationships and reduce emotional and behavioural stress. She delivers hands-on, evidence-informed parenting and child behavioural interventions, particularly with families navigating aggression, emotional overwhelm, and disconnection. Her work in this space is grounded in the belief that empowered caregivers create empowered children.

Across her clinical training and roles, Megan has supported clients with diverse presentations—including anxiety and mood disorders, trauma, disrupted attachment, personality vulnerabilities, and emotional regulation challenges—bringing a compassionate, curious, and root-cause-oriented approach that seeks to understand underlying drivers rather than just surface symptoms. She is especially drawn to helping children, adolescents, and families move toward healing and connection, using a trauma-informed, attachment-focused therapeutic style tailored to each client’s unique needs. Known for her warm and authentic manner, Megan combines empathy with clear-eyed guidance to create a space where clients feel heard, safe, and motivated to grow.

“When little people are overwhelmed by big emotions, it’s our job to share our calm, not join their chaos.” L.R. Knost
